The Young Marines is a non-profit organization dedicated to the mental, moral and physical development of boys and girls, ages 8 through High School. The organization came into existence in 1958, and has experienced tremendous growth since that time. Currently, there are over 300 Young Marines units in the United States, with a combined membership of approximately 14,000. In Washington State, there are four Young Marine units.
